About Me
Most importantly I am Mummy of two beautiful children.
Following years of infertility and a long journey through the world of IVF and ICSI, I was so fortunate to have my daughter, Dottie! (Named after her first photo – a tiny dot living in a petri dish!) With a miraculous natural conception following shortly after, I had my son Dylan. Having had such an emotional journey to get to motherhood, finally getting to hold those babies was the most incredible mix of emotions!! But what sticks so vividly in my mind was the guilt I always felt; I was worried I wasn’t present enough, wasn’t energetic enough, was too tired to even think clearly and my joy and happiness was overshadowed by a continuous anxiety as to whether I was doing enough and being enough for them.
The biggest ah-ha moment was when I realised that I was just so sleep deprived, it was affecting not only my energy levels but my mental health and emotional health!! I knew I needed to make a change and that started with my little one’s sleep. Within a week of sleep training my life had transformed; I was me again and better than that … I was, and am, the mother I wanted to be!!!
So let me reassure you by saying, I have absolutely been where you are now; exhausted, sleep deprived, helpless, not knowing how I could ever get my children to sleep well and thinking I would never sleep again. That was until I really understood sleep and sleep training and very quickly I no longer worried if my children were getting enough sleep, I wasn’t plagued with exhaustion and suddenly my family was thriving, happy and honestly the best versions of ourselves.
My experience with my little ones really inspired me to support families to thrive in parenthood and to be able to enjoy every precious moment their littles one brings.
Sleep training transformed my family and I knew I had to share this with everyone that would listen. Everyone deserves to feel rested, happy and enjoy their time as a family!
I trained as a Sleep Consultant with The Sleep Consultant Academy, leaders in the world of infant sleep and therefore have extensive knowledge in all things infant sleep.
I am also a Registered Mental Health Nurse, where I have years of experience working with families and children to support mental wellbeing and to nurture the family unit. I have dedicated my career to helping and supporting others during the most challenging chapters of their life.
